Presented Our Game

Today we presented our game. I believe we did well and summed everything up. For the most part I believe they liked our idea, our game, and our presentation. We got some suggestions and some good comments and overall it was a success. Go team Trandon Berry.

Back to School

This week we are putting the final touches on our wikis and game for game presentations next week. Hopefully we do okay and they like our game. Our game is nothing but educational so I believe this won't be a problem.

Thank You Help Desk

As of today the help desk has helped our team twice. The first time, the code was continuing its tasks onto later frames in our game so that it was malfunctioning. Today our problem was just on how we were wanting to make our movie clips react to each other but it was a simple fix that the help desk made clear. Now we are on track again.

Grr

The last few days my group has been sort of frustrated because of our game not working correctly. After adding some fun levels between the more quizzical ones, our buttons do not function right. I have been trying to fix this problem by adding frame labels to the code instead of the frame numbers but this did not work. My next effort will be trying to get help from another intern.

Back to the Games

Last two weeks I have been back in my group and helping work on our new game. I still help anyone who is having problems or asks questions. Our group's game is coming along well. We have a first level that involves you dragging and dropping elements onto their spots in the periodic table. Today we finished up level two that makes you balance an equation by typing the correct number in front of a certain element. Other than a few bugs our game works really well.

Haven't Really Blogged Much Lately

I have not blogged too much this month. I have been pretty busy in class helping each group with the beginnings of their games. I have helped people individually as well as showing the whole class how to do things with the smart board. They are all doing well now and I think getting the hang of things.

Changing Course

This week I have been told that I am going to just help all of the groups in the class with their games. I am still going to be helping my group but I will also be helping the rest of the class more than usual. This week so far we are working on buttons.

Friday

"I hate to miss school and I am so glad that we had school today." This was our blog prompt for today but who would really believe this? Today we had a two hour delay so class is shorter and we are in a different class room. Today has been almost pointless.

This Week

This week we are working on our powerpoint presentations for our game ideas. We are going to make ours answering the questions that we answered on our team page. We are still having problems uploading our paper prototype because viddler wont let us log in. Maybe someday.
